The second collaboration on Aztec Records between Italian producer Fulvio Colasanto and American singer Christina Siravo, finds them exploring the themes started with Psycho Beat but going deeper into the horror storytelling of HP Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe. Starting with the sound of crows' caws, Fulvio's understated but highly effective production leaves surrounds Christina's unmistakeable belting notes like the shadow of Nosferatus.

The angular melody and erratic synth motifs depicts perfectly the dark omen and feeling of surreal horror favoured by Fulvio. Aztec's own Mike Haunted provides a dramatic guitar solo that slashes the song with sharp scales.

Images of a chase in the dark corridors of a haunted house, or a nightmarish sequence in a Dario Argento's film. The house is preparing the mood for the upcoming Halloween season full of tricks and treats.

Certains artistes sont plus performants quand ils font cavaliers seuls et LukHash en fait partie. GHOSTS était sans conteste un bon album mais le format de la chanson l'obligeait à se brider. Dans BETTER THAN REALITY, excepte sur "WE ARE FOREVER", le chant s'en va (même les samples vocaux sont très rares), le croisement entre la chiptune et la synthwave reste et LukHash nous met dans l'ambiance avec des sons rétros qui semblent tirés de VHS. La production retrouve sa puissance. Irréprochable ! Jordan Vauvert
